- Wade Rogers
Wade Rogers is from Fort White, Florida. He is married to Stephanie and they have two daughters, Amber and Jaylyn. Together they own Rogers Livestock, where they raise registered Boer goats as well as registered Charolais cattle. Wade and his family have been involved in the goat industry since 2016 raising and showing both registered and market goats. Wade has been the Boer Goat superintendent at the Florida State Fair since 2019. He is also part of the show committee that puts on the Fall Spooktacular show, an annual jackpot show that is the largest multi-species show in Florida. This will be the third year he has been to the ABGA Nationals show, and he is looking forward to working with all the exhibitors to make it one of the best Nationals yet. - Rosalinda Vizina
Back to Board of Directors Rosalinda Vizina President, Region 1 Email Rosalinda Vizina co-owns and operates Wilton Boer Goat Ranch in Lebanon, Oregon with her Husband Norman Vizina. Rosalinda was born and raised in Sacramento, California and transitioned in 2016 to Oregon with her husband of 39 years. She works with the Department of Corrections in Oregon as a Medical Services Manager. She has been an ABGA member for approximately 17 years. She has been involved in 4-H, various ABGA committees, local meat goat associations, and continues to sponsor multiple goat youth activities. She has established the now very successful “Best-in-the-West Boer Goat Show” in California. Rosalinda looks forward to serving the association as the Region 1 director to continue to promote the Boer goat industry as a whole. Previous Director Next Director
- Kate Schaefer
Kate Schaefer Kate can commonly be found mentoring youth at goat shows and other events. Kate Schaefer is the daughter of Tim and Jennifer Schaefer and has two younger brothers, Tyler and Colton. Her family operates Schaefer Farms, a 200-head Boer meat goat farm, just outside of Adel, IA. This is where Kate found her passion for agriculture. While attending Adel DeSoto Minburn High School, Kate was involved in soccer, track, student council, and of course FFA. She served as FFA Chapter President both her Junior and Senior years and was the top fundraiser all four years of high school. April of 2023, Kate hung up the jacket for the final time as an Iowa FFA State Officer, serving as a Vice President. Her SAE project is based on Goat Production, which correlates to the activities Kate participates in and leads with the Junior Iowa Meat Goat Association. She currently serves as JIMGA President and can commonly be found mentoring youth at goat shows and other events. She continues to serve the goat industry in Iowa by hosting a 3-weekend goat show, with a fitting contest and Skill-a-thon for the youth in August every year. Kate plans to major in Agricultural Communications, which suits her fun personality and keen ability to teach, sell, and network. She is detail-oriented and constantly making connections and working with others. Kate is eager to continue interacting with youth within the Junior American Boer Goat Association and helping them find their success.

Back to Board of Directors Kim Veal Region 10 Email Kim Veal has been raising Boer Goats for over twenty years, since 1996. In 1999, her family and she started showcasing their goats. Kim has been hosting the Peach State Classic and the Georgia Nationals in Perry, Georgia, for the past 20 years, and served as the superintendent of Boer Goats. She has been providing her expertise to multiple committees since 2005. Now, as a proud member of the board of directors, Kim is excited to continue serving the Boer goat community.
