Ellyana Sand, daughter of Ryan and Lindsy Sand is the oldest of 5 children and currently a junior at Albany High School.

Ellyana grew up in Central Minnesota where her family started their farm, Sand Country Acres in 2015. Their herd started out with a couple of bottle babies, but throughout the years has progressed to having a herd of 75, focusing on raising ABGA registered stock. Ellyana has enjoyed showing her goats throughout the years, with her career highlight being the 2023 National Show where she exhibited the JABGA Bred and Owned Overall Grand Champion Buck. Her evolving stock has created opportunities to participate in many sales in recent years, which has allowed for her to sell her stock to many different parts of the country. Along with goats, her family has a few beef cattle that they raise and show through 4-H.

Ellyana is excited for the opportunity she has to serve on the JABGA board. She looks forward to the new ways she has to share her passion for the Boer Goat industry and represent and work with the youth in her Area, and across the Country. She has gained experience in leadership roles, currently serving as her school's FFA Chapter President and also has held many officer positions within her county’s 4-H program. She is an active member on her school's Volleyball Team, a Student Council representative and is a member of the National Honor Society.
