Secretary, Area 1
“I am extremely excited and proud to have been appointed to the JABGA Board of Directors and look forward to serving Area 1 as well as all members. In 2017, I started my journey in the industry with just two market wethers. My love for the breed was immediate, and now I run a herd of nearly 40 Boer goats.
I attended my first ABGA show in 2019 and soon after became a member. I am also active in my local 4-H club and FFA chapter, where I enjoy competing in Livestock Judging. Being new to the industry, I am incredibly grateful for the amazing mentors, who continue to help me hone my skills and increase my knowledge. There is no adequate way for me to convey the deep gratitude I have for them other than to give back by sharing what I have learned with other youth.
My goal this year is to work collaboratively with my fellow directors to make the organization the best it can be by being the voice of our members. I also want to work diligently to increase membership in the JABGA, because we youth are the future of the Boer goat industry. This organization has changed my entire focus and path for my life, and I look forward to sharing that with others.”
