Board Member, Area 3

Avery Holman currently serves as a Director for Area 3 for the Junior American Boer Goat Association.

Holman began showing goats at age six, before pivoting to focus on her own market animals. Her show string grew to include market goats, market lambs, breeding heifers, and occasionally, pigs. Prior to showing goats and other livestock, Holman showed Tennessee Walking Horses.

Holman rekindled her connection with JABGA last year and rejoined the organization in 2021.

Holman is a senior at Boyle County High School; she currently serves as Secretary of the FFA chapter there and competes on the school’s swim team. She also serves as a camp counselor for YGB livestock camps.

In the future, Holman plans to earn a degree in nursing and work as a traveling nurse.

As a current JABGA member who left and rejoined the organization, Holman hopes her unique viewpoint can assist JABGA in improving its member experience, and she’s excited to help make JABGA “better than ever.”
