UPDATES:

  • We are currently processing work received on August 25, 2022.

  • DNA Processing: UC Davis' average processing time is 23 business days.

  • All questions, concerns, and requests for work must be directed to mail@abga.org. Please describe the situation in detail and include your first and last name and ABGA member number when communicating with the ABGA office by mail, email, or phone.

  • If a goat was bought on a paper application, the new owner of the animal is responsible for paying the registration fee and the transfer fee.

  • We do not keep credit card information on file. Please have your ABGA member number and credit card information on file when calling to complete your payment with the ABGA office.

  • If you submit a Live Coverage Service memo for a failed or pending registration, please attach the matching Request for More Information (RFI) form or a written statement and the original work order number

REMINDERS:

  • Please use updated forms when submitting work to the ABGA office. All ABGA forms are available on our website, including Membership Renewal Forms, Agent Authorization Forms, Transfer Applications, Live Coverage Service Memos, and many others.

  • The use of correction fluid (White Out) or any other medium invalidates ABGA Certificates of Registration. This includes transfer information written on the reverse side. The seller must "correct" mistakes in the Transfer portion (back) of a Certificate with a single line drawn through the mistake and the seller's initials.

  • ABGA members cannot transfer animals to non-members through Online Live. Transfer Applications to non-members must be completed in full and mailed or emailed (mail@abga.org) directly to the ABGA office.

  • When registering progeny of commercial animals through Online Live, be sure to note "BOERX or "OTHER" under the Dam Registration Number. Commercials bucks are noted as "UBUCK".

For more information regarding agenda items in the meeting minutes, please contact your region's ABGA Director(s).

ABGA CERTIFIED JUDGES:

To ensure the safety and security of ABGA members, preserve the integrity of ABGA's Certified Judges program, and reduce the liability to ABGA as an organization, annual background checks are now required for all ABGA Certified Judges.

Starting in 2022, all ABGA Certified Judges must submit a Background Check Consent Form to the ABGA office annually and pass a background check to maintain their ABGA Certified Judge status.

Failure to submit a Background Check Consent Form and/or failure to pass a background check will result in the loss of your ABGA Certified Judge status.

If you are already an ABGA Certified Judge, please download and complete the ABGA Certified Judge Background Check Consent Form, and mail or email it (mail@abga.org) to the ABGA office by September 1, 2022.

SANCTIONED SHOWS:

Show Secretaries have 30 days after the show to submit results. Please reach out to your Show Secretary if you see points missing or incorrectly calculated in ILR. If your show is not visible in ILR, we may be awaiting placings from your Show Secretary; please email shows@abga.org for more information.
